Personal Data Processing Policy

Data controller

The controller responsible for processing your personal data is Developwave S.A.S., domiciled in Medellín, Colombia, reachable at hello@developwave.com. We are in the process of formalizing our commercial registration; once we have a tax ID (NIT), we will publish it in this policy.

Data we collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect the details you choose to provide: your name, company, email address, phone number, and any project information you share. When you browse the site, we also collect technical data through Google Analytics — such as IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and approximate location — via cookies, as described in “Cookies & analytics” below.

Purpose of processing

We use your data to: respond to your inquiry and discuss your project; deliver the services you request and manage the resulting contractual relationship; send you communications related to your request; and understand site usage through aggregated analytics to improve it. We do not use your data for unrelated marketing without your prior authorization.

Authorization

By checking the consent box on our contact form, you grant your prior, express, and informed authorization for the processing of your personal data under this policy, as required by Law 1581 of 2012. You may revoke this authorization at any time as explained in “Your rights” below.

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with data processors who help us operate — for example, email delivery, hosting, and Google Analytics — and only to the extent needed to perform their service. We may also disclose information where required by a competent Colombian authority.

International data transfers

Some of our providers — such as Google Analytics and our hosting provider — process data on servers located outside Colombia, including in the United States. These transfers take place under those providers' own compliance mechanisms and only for the purposes described in this policy.

Data retention

We keep inquiry information only as long as necessary to respond to you, deliver the contracted service, and maintain our business records as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Cookies & analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, through cookies that collect browsing data in aggregate. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable these cookies from your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, without affecting your access to the site.

Your rights (Habeas Data)

As the data subject, you have the right to: know, update, and correct your data; request proof of the authorization granted; be informed of how your data has been used; file complaints with Colombia's Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio for violations of the law; revoke your authorization and/or request deletion of your data when there is no legal or contractual duty to keep it; and access your data free of charge.

How to exercise your rights

You can submit inquiries and claims by writing to the address below, including your name, the right you wish to exercise, and a description of the facts. Inquiries are answered within 10 business days (extendable by 5 more business days); claims within 15 business days (extendable when necessary), per the timelines set by Law 1581 of 2012.

Minors

Our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without authorization from their parents or legal guardians.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Supervisory authority

If you believe we have violated your rights and your request has not been resolved satisfactorily, you may file a complaint with Colombia's Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (Delegatura para la Protección de Datos Personales), the supervisory authority for personal data protection in Colombia.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
